3 TV Shows Book Lovers Will Love!

When I am not reading or writing, something I really love to do is watch TV. I can spend hours binge watching a show on Netflix or catching up on TV with my DVR. I wanted to use this week's blog post to help readers to find TV shows they may like to watch in their free time. So without further ado lets get started...
If you want a book worm reader:
Gilmore Girls
Gilmore Girls is a show that I feel every reader should watch. Gilmore Girls is about a mother, Lorelai, and a daughter, Rory being friends and their adventures in the town of Stars Hollow, as well as dealing with Lorelai's upper class parents.
It has comedy, drama, romance, and one of the best book worm characters ever...Rory Gilmore. Rory loves reading and always seems to have a book with her. Rory has read so many books throughout the show that there is even a reading list dedicated to all the books that Rory has referenced or been seen or heard to be reading on the show. Rory has had many relatable book lover moments such as arguing with her mom about how many books she is taking with her to school to read for fun or explaining the joys of the library to a future college student. Rory is a fantastic example of a girl who lives and breathes books and is a perfect candidate for this category and list.
A Show About a Reader and a Writer:
Jane the Virgin
Jane the Virgin may not seem like it on the outside, but this show does have somewhat to do with a writer and reader. Jane the Virgin is about a woman who is accidentally inseminated with another man's baby, the same man that she kissed a few years back before meeting her current boyfriend. Besides this plot there is also a police investigation, a love triangle, romance, and even murder plaguing this show's many plot lines. Did I also mention it is somewhat like a telenovela or Spanish soap opera and has an awesome narrator and forth wall jokes. Jane has always said throughout the show she wants to be a writer and during the course of the show so far she does in fact decide to write a romance book eventually. Jane states throughout the show she adores romances and wants to write them. So if you like drama, comedy, mystery, love triangles (Team Rafael all the way btw), and a main protagonist who is an aspiring author, you will love Jane the Virgin.
A Show For Those Who Want to Work In Publishing:
Younger
Younger is a TV Land show starring broadways actress Sutton Foster, as well as former Disney star, Hillary Duff. The show follows Liza Miller, a 40 something year old woman who decides she wants to go back into the publishing business after sending her daughter to college and getting divorced. However, she soon finds that companies are hiring and looking for younger talent. So Liza decides to pretend be a 26 year-old to help her to land a job at a publishing company. Soon Liza's lie spills out of control and is not only affecting her new friends, new job, and new romance, but even maybe some of her life before she turned 26. Younger may not be the most realistic show when it comes to publishing, but it is one of the only shows I can think of that has to do with the industry that also features an excellent cast, hilarious situations and lines, intriguing drama, and more. I rarely see shows featuring this industry so when I do It makes me extremely happy. This show was even based on a book by Pamela Redmond Satran. I think Younger is a fantastic show that many readers will enjoy, especially those who are interested in the world of book publishing.
